YPCS Visited by the Hudson Foundation

YPCS received a visit from David Ball of the Hudson Foundation.

We were delighted to be visited by David Ball of the Hudson Foundation. We were fortunate to receive funding from the Hudson Foundation to furnish our Annabelle Davis Centre in Wisbech.

Our community room is named ‘The Hudson Room’ in honour of Alan and Majorie Hudson, and the kind donation that has helped us create an inviting space for those we support.

YPCS Gifted Reading Well Books

YPCS have been gifted a selection of books to help support young people’s mental health.

Take a look at a selection of the brilliant Reading Well books gifted to us by Wisbech Library and Cambridgeshire Libraries!

The Reading Well collections provide quality-assured information, stories and advice to support mental health and wellbeing. Books have been chosen and recommended by leading health professionals and co-produced with young people and families.

We are so pleased to be able to add these beautiful stories and guides to our Annabelle Davis Centre locations. Thank you to the wonderful library teams for your support.

Afternoon Tea at the Secret Garden with the Mayor of Wisbech

We would like to say a big YPCS thank you to the The Mayor Of Wisbech, Susan Wallwork, for inviting us along to her afternoon tea at the The Secret Garden Touring Park in Wisbech St. Mary.

The event, attended by Wisbech Councillors, and Mayors and Deputy Mayors from Cambridgeshire, Fenland and Norfolk, was one of Susan’s first events of her mayoral year raising money for YPCS.

Thank you to all who attended for your support.

YPCS Visits the Wildlife Trust

We were delighted to attend our first workshop at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre at Great Fen.

We were delighted to attend our first workshop at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre at Great Fen, where we enjoyed a beautiful and cold morning walking in the nature reserve and had a go at making wreaths with natural elements!

We want to thank the staff at The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants for the amazing activities. We are working together on the ‘Peatland Progress: A New Vision for the Fens’ project to create nature-based interventions and programmes to support young people experiencing mental health issues and their families.

Share Your Views on Parent and Care Giver Support

We are looking to start two new parent and care giver support groups and would love to hear your views on the support you would like to

To offer further support for parents and care givers, we are looking to start two new face to face groups.

One of these groups will focus on parents and care givers of neurodiverse young people (both with a diagnosis and those awaiting diagnosis).

Another group will focus on parents and care givers of young people who experience poor mental health.

So we can offer the best form of support, we would like to hear from parents and care givers about what you would hope to see from these groups.

– Are there any aims and objectives would you like to see?
– What would you like to gain from being part of the group?
– Have you tried any similar groups or support?
– If you have tried any similar groups or support, what worked for you? Is there anything that didn’t work for you?

To share your views, please email daniella.budd@ypcs.uk or kirsty.skutela@ypcs.uk. We would greatly appreciate hearing from you to create the support you would want to have.
